Arch was founded in a converted warehouse in Berlin's Mitte district by three architects who shared a single conviction: that the built environment shapes human experience more profoundly than any other art form.
Over fifteen years, that conviction has driven us to work across continents, typologies, and scales — from intimate private residences to civic landmarks that anchor entire neighbourhoods. We have never wavered from the belief that every project, regardless of budget or brief, deserves the same depth of thought and quality of execution.
Today, Arch operates from studios in Berlin, Dubai, and Tokyo, with a team of 120 architects, designers, and strategists who bring rigour, curiosity, and craft to every commission.

Foundation
Studio Founded in Berlin
Three architects — Marcus Veld, Lena Krause, and Ryo Tanaka — establish Arch in a Mitte warehouse with a team of six.
2011
First Major Commission
The Solaris Cultural Centre
Our first large-scale civic project — a 12,000 m² arts complex in Hamburg — wins the German Architecture Prize.
2014
Global Expansion
Dubai Studio Opens
Growing demand across the Gulf region leads to our second studio, anchoring Arch's presence in the Middle East and South Asia.

World Architecture Festival Award
The Lumina Residence project wins the WAF Residential Award, placing Arch among the world's top 50 design firms.
