The art of facial massage for youthful vitality

By

A sequence you can do in front of a mirror, drawn from our lymphatic sculpt treatment. Simple movements that lift circulation, release tension and leave the face looking rested.

Facial massage is mostly about direction. Fluid in the face drains towards the ear and down the neck, so every stroke in this sequence moves outward and down, never back towards the nose.

Prepare the skin first

Use a few drops of oil or a rich balm so your fingers glide. Dry skin drags, and dragging is what stretches it. Warm the product between your palms and press it in before you start to move.

Sit upright with your shoulders relaxed. Tension in the neck blocks the drainage you are trying to help.

Slow is the technique. If you can count the strokes comfortably, you are moving at the right pace.

The five movements

Sweep from the centre of the forehead out to the temples. Press under the cheekbones from nose to ear. Glide along the jaw from chin to earlobe. Draw down the side of the neck to the collarbone. Finish with flat palms resting over the eyes for three breaths.

The closing hold of the lymphatic sculpt, where the hands rest on the temples for a full minute.

How often it helps

Three evenings a week is enough to notice a difference in puffiness and colour within a month. Daily is fine too, as long as the pressure stays light.

The sequence takes about four minutes. Most guests tell us it becomes the part of the evening they protect.
