Facial Harmony
Restoration

Patient

A.K., 38

Discipline

Facial surgery

Duration

14 months

A staged plan that corrected midface asymmetry without touching the features the patient wanted left alone.

01

The challenge

The patient presented after two rounds of filler placed elsewhere over four years. The midface had been volumised to compensate for what was, on examination, a structural asymmetry across the orbital rim. Each round had corrected the appearance briefly and worsened the underlying imbalance.

She was clear about what she did not want changed: the nose, the lip proportion and the natural downturn at the outer eye. That narrowed the plan considerably, and it was the right constraint. The brief was correction, not redesign.

02

The approach

We dissolved before we added. Three stages across fourteen months, each separated
by enough time to assess the result honestly under standardised imaging.

1

Reset

Full dissolution of existing filler, then a four-month wait to see the true baseline.

2

Structure

Orbital rim correction under local anaesthetic, addressing the asymmetry at its origin.

3

Refine

A single conservative volume pass at month ten, half the quantity originally estimated.

03

The result

Measured against fixed-lighting imaging at month fourteen, midface symmetry
improved substantially on less than half the material previously used. No revision
has been required.
