Questions about the

cost

Is there a minimum number of hours?

Two hours per visit, and a minimum of six hours a week. Below that we cannot keep the same caregivers assigned to you, which is the part that matters most.

What does live-in care cost?

Live-in care in the UK typically costs between £1,200 and £1,500 per week for standard support. Complex, specialist, or couple care generally ranges from £1,600 to £2,000+ per week depending on the specific care needs and location.

Can local authority funding be used?

Yes, local authority funding can be used for live-in care if you meet the eligible care needs and financial criteria. If savings and assets fall below the threshold (£23,250 in England), the council can provide funding via Direct Payments, allowing you to choose and pay a live-in care provider directly.

When and how do you invoice?

Care is typically invoiced on a weekly or fortnightly basis in advance or in arrears, depending on the agency setup. Payment is accepted via direct debit or bank transfer, and invoices are generated automatically after care arrangements or trial periods begin.
